Lewusa Union

(Lewusa) is a General Trade Union that catters for Employees of all sectors from different industries. Its a General Trade Union opperating in all sectors or industries within South Africa, as a coorprate body with perpectual succession and capable of entering into relations with any entities.

AIMS

Lewusa aims to be a leading General Trade Union in South Africa and this can be achieved through the following Objectives:

1. Unite all workers into one strong Union throughout South Africa.
2. Represent, protect worker's rights and fight for the current standard of living.
3. Build a strong, active stronhold structures under the leadership of the working class, run and controlled democratically by workers through mandated leadership.
4. Use every legitimate means to induce Employees to become members, assist and educate members in endeavour to promote their interest against those of Employers.
5. Provide Legal assistance to members in relation to their Employment, Establish or administer funds for the benefit of members and their dependants.
6. Encourage speed resolution of disputes between members and Employers or Employer's Organization while acting on the best interest of members.
7. Do such lawful things as may appear to be in the interest of the Trade Union and members, and which are not inconsistent with the objectives or any matter specifically provided for in this Constitution and to borrow, invest, lend, donate or subscribe money for the furtherance of the objectives of the Trade Union.
8. Work towards the idea of the confederation of the General Trade Unions.
9. Affiliate and or participate actively in the mobilisation of the broad working class.
10. Promote the understanding of the movement of the working class and the fact the Trade Union is life.
